Ok, so the new CD is still not ready... but here is the good news. It has 15 songs finished, and we are working on the last one. The CD has some heavy stuff on it, and some lighter stuff. Stewart's singing is better (ha, ha!), and he is up to his usual "turn it up to 11" guitar stuff. For those of you who have been hanging in there waiting, here is a special preview (available only on this page).
On another subject, all of you who have been asking, "who the heck is bullethead?" here is the answer: He is one bad mofo (and also a figment of Stewart's mind). Actually, he is a guy Stewart drew as a comic book character. He lost his arms in a freak dog grooming accident, and now he has 20mm cannons for arms. Darn those pesky scientists! His main job is to hunt down the little twerps who make computer viruses and help them to realize the error of their ways- or blast them into greasy little spots.

Cool stuff keeps happening. I would really like to thank Wendell and Elwood from Liquid-A Radio (http://www.liquidasite.citymax.com) for having the band on the "Wendell Show" on 2/14. We covered a variety of topics (mainly consisting of Stewart's obsession with MSG and his blatant disregard for the fine products at Mesa/Boogie- buy the album and read the liner notes!). We have also been added to Pulse Radio's rotation (www.pu1se.com). This is another good spot for original music. No where near as lively as Liquid-A Radio though. Virus 2.0 is well underway, and should be released at the end of August. Click here for a preview.

Well, there I go again. I have been lame and not updated what we have been up to for a few months. Well, here is the scoop. J.C.D. has 4 songs complete for the new CD, "Virus". Keep watching the site for a free .mp3 of the new stuff. It is pretty heavy. Of course this means the web site will be getting a new look soon, so keep your eyes open. J.C.D. would also like to thank all the reviewers out there who gave us "2 thumbs up". Keep the feedback coming in!

Holy Smokes! It has been very busy. J.C.D. has been getting a little exposure in Europe (thanks to the German guys at OVERDRIVE) and even a little in the States. Thanks to everyone who has been helpful. The new CD Virus is well underway, and it will be smoking. Look for advanced tracks to start showing up next month (yes, they will be free to download).
Now, for a small tiny little rant. Lets talk about one of jimmy's favorite sites, WWW.GarageBand.Com. This is a site where you can upload your music and get free feedback from other musicians. Cool idea! Way to Go! You even get to review other artists and review their music. Cool!
Now, about 50% of the reviews are very cool, and actually contain constructive critisism. The other 50% sound like a bunch of 12 year old girls talking sh*t about each other (sorry folks, I am trying to keep this family friendly- and no offense to those 12 year old girls). It's bad enough that the world is full of petty people doing petty things to make themselves feel good, but I expect more from the music community. If you are going to be a "reviewer", please review. There is no room for trashing someones band just to get better marks for your own. To those who do engage in this practice, be careful who you do it to. You never know who is listening. Karma can be a killer.

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Last month was pretty cool. Nearly 1000 people downloaded "Slowburn" and "Jagged Feel". I only have one request of you people (you know who you are) and that is give us some feedback! We need to hear from you folks. Stewart has threatened to stop taking singing lessons if he doesn't hear from you people. Lets all encourage him to keep up with the lessons. Remember, J.C.D. is making their next CD- so it's important to point out the stuff you like, and the stuff you hate.

Ok, the virus is gone. I can get back to work on promotion of my CD. I will be naming the next album Virus, as a reminder of this- it really bugs me people would do such lame things. I hope to start recording the new album in August. Some of my friends have suggested I look for additional talent in the vocal area, so I will begin looking for a new vocalist to help on this album.

Well, this is just swell. I have been very happy to get this website up, get production of shaving the porcupine going, and begin promotion of the CD. Things must have been going too well, as my studio workstation computer has just been given a virus. How swell. I have 4 years of recording on it, and some little twerp finds it important to infect my computer with a virus that can end this endeavor before it can really get started. I can only imagine some acne infected 13 year old proving to the world how smart he is by releasing a virus to the web that can exploit problems in an operating system. Well, cool. I hope the twerp realizes what will happen to him if he is caught. I mean, it really is interesting why some folks find it more important to destroy what others have been working on. I don't think I have ever really done anything to cause anyone any harm, yet here is a non-discriminate attack on my life's work. Maybe Stewart's singing is really that bad.
